What modification should I add to my glock 19 pistol. ?
I just bought a glock 19 a couple days ago. I am going to add night sights, laser and
light, either steel or tungsten springrod.
What other modifications would improve the glock 19? What kind of upgrades did you do on your glocks?
I’d recommend:
1. Wolff Gunsprings NP3 coated, non-captured steel guide rod, and standard 18# spring.
2. Lone Wolf 4.5# connector.
3. Meprolight, ‘night sights’.
4. Lone Wolf aluminium slide cover. (I like either the solid red, or blue; but either one is highly resistant to flexing or breakage.)
5. If you get nothing else pick up the equivalent generation of a G-17 trigger and trigger bar. (Lone Wolf sells them.) That ribbed trigger that comes standard on a G-19 is an, ‘abortion’.
6. A Lone Wolf, ‘Extended slide LOCK’.
7. A Lone Wolf, ‘Extended slide STOP’.
8. A Glock Armorer’s Tool, and do all the work yourself. (YouTube and Google can show you dozens of examples how.)
9. Never touch the magazine release unless you absolutely have to. (This is the one part Glock, GmbH recommends that novice armorers leave alone.)
10. If you add a laser I strongly suggest that you use a Crimson Trace grip attachment model.
11, Forget tungsten guide rods; they do absolutely nothing for the pistol and wear quickly.
12. When you’re talking to Lone Wolf ask them if they have any extended (+2) magazines AND springs for the G-19.
