How much do you think a tattoo like this would run me?

Unless you got this done with a 1-liner needle this tattoo would not possibly fit around a bicep let alone a forearm. Even using a 1-liner (1RL) it would be a very difficult and time consuming tattoo. Probably at least 5 hours work, probably nearer 10 hours. A 1-liner (1RL) is fantastically painful and on a tattoo that size would be almost unbearable for most people. You would, as a conservative estimate, be lucky to pay less than £500 for it.

A simplified version of it could be done as a forearm tattoo using a more reasonable needle like a 9RL. This would take a lot less time and would cost a lot less, maybe as little as £100.

The best way to get this design would be to have it as a large scale tattoo over the chest, thigh or back. It would look great.

As for the tribal work the price varies a lot. Many tattoo artists refuse to do tribal tattoos these days and several charge a high premium for this kind of work. The studio I go to will not do tribal work on weekends or busy week days as it is so time consuming. To cover a forearm in tribal work usually costs around £200 – £300.
