Towle Sterling Silver Flatware Value

We have a sterling service for twelve, Paul Revere pattern by Towle, with an “O” monogram. Is the silver content worth more, and how would we determine current silver value?
I would check the closed auctions at Ebay.com or Yahoo auctions. Those are usaully good indicators of what the current value is on these types of items.
