Stretch Bracelet Knots
Semi-thin, stretchy, plastic jewelry cord – how do you tie two ends of it into a permanent knot?

I tried doing it, but it keeps unknotting itself… it’s tight and then loosens up by itself. And when I finally forcefully tied it together and stretched my bracelet a bit, the cord broke at the knot.

Is there a way to make a knot so that it stays but at the same time doesn’t cause harm to the cord itself?

A square knot is very strong and is often used with elastic cord in jewelry making. Dab a little bit of glue or clear nail polish on the knot for added strength. I don’t like using super glue because it turns white after awhile, usually from heat or moisture, so I prefer using clear nailpolish.
