Stretch Bracelet Knot

I need to know how to tie a stretch cord to a clasp with out seeing the knot.?
everytime i tie a knot with my stretch jewelry cord to my lobster claw clasp, my knot comes undone and my beads go everywhere. the knot is ugly and can be seen. what can i do? i dont want a continuos bracelet. these are for interchangable watch bands.
when i make things with a stretch cord i loop the one end back thru the beads so it strenthens the knot
