how to make my sterling silver chains turn black?
I don’t want them just a little bit oxidized, I would like them to be really black. I’m working on some jewelry designs where I would like to put some colors together. Thanks.
Silver reacts very well with sulfur, which turns into silver sulfide.
Silver sulfides are crystals with black color. if the silver is placed into place with lot of sulfur the silver turns black. The more sulfur there is the faster silver will turn black.
