what are some interesting and fun things to make from steel?
i work for a steel company and there are steel scraps galore and every machine u ever need to manipulate steel. anyone got some brilliant ideas on what to make before and after work sometimes? i been making stainless steel bangles which look pretty cool, im going to make a coffee table soon. please spring some ideas for me:)
yea some nice idea there, i workk at a place called MSA in bayswater, they make shop fittings…yea and its totally awesome, been there 6 months and lovin the metal factor haha
medieval armor such as plate if you find scraps big enough to craft the parts from
smaller scraps can be used for making scale maille
a step higher in protection from chainmaille
especially if your Co. works with aircraft grade aluminum
medieval weapons like swords and knives or any other type of
weapon. axes, hammers, maces, flails, mauls, morning stars
just dig into a medieval weapons book for tons of ideas
when you finish a bunch take them to your local “amtgard” group
and offer them for sale especially if you put a fantasy twist into them
swords that look like a burst of flames coming from the hilt
axes that look like dragons
flails and mauls with lots of spiky bits
