Keeping a clean home is the key to a happy home
With the ever increasing prices how do you save money on taking care of your home? There are things that you can do to reduce the cost by 50%. There are places out there that you can buy in bulk and get a discount up to 30%. Having to stock your bathrooms with toilet paper and soap are a necessity but there is ways out there that will help save money.

Tips:

1. How to remove dirty ring round shirt collars: This can be done by placing a small amount of shampoo and rub like washing your hair. Always keep a bottle of shampoo by the washing machine handy. Shampoo is pacifically designed to remove body oils so it’s safe and bleach free.
2. Removing permanent ink: Spray Hairspray on the affected area and leave for 20 seconds then wipe gently. Hairspray is also handy for killing flies.
3. Take care of wooden furniture: Shoe polish and felt tip pens work well in hiding small scratches in furniture. Shoe polish applicator bottles work well for furniture touch-ups, when filled with stain.
4. How to clean up your dog’s or baby’s accidents on the carpet: Sponge with cold water and blot dry, then use carpet shampoo, adding a little disinfectant to the rinse water. If the smell lingers, try a deodorising spray.
5. If there is a bad smell in the air: Air Freshener Dispenser, Dispensing a fresh scent into the air can make any area more pleasant. Dispensers can help keep a room smelling great and eliminate the hassle caused by other forms of air freshening.
6. Pour a little disinfectant inside the bowl and let that sit for a moment while you use a rag or sponge to wipe the rim and the outside of the bowl, down to the floor. Don’t overlook the seat and the lid, and the area behind the seat. Using your regular toilet bowl brush or your scrub brush, reach inside that bowl, apply elbow grease and give that bowl a good scrubbing – then flush!
7. Acidic or alkaline cleaners used on marble, travertine and some other stone will destroy or etch the finish
8. Bleach combined with ammonia creates a very deadly gas.
9. For more effective dishwashing, add a few tablespoons of vinegar along with the dishwashing detergent when washing dishes. The vinegar cuts the grease and leaves dishes sparkling.
10. Bars of soap too small to use effectively can be pressed into the sides of new bars softened by recent use.
11. Clean those dirty, dusty, mini-blinds in your house in a snap! Fill the bathtub with warm, soapy water and let the blinds soak. If they are white blinds add a little bleach to get rid of any stains.
12. Removing Crayon from walls: use damp sponge and colgate toothpaste. Rub carefully.
13. Cleaning a Keyboard: On a weekly basis, carefully vacuum the keys with the round brush attachment of your vacuum. Never spray keyboard directly, spray the cleaning cloth with all-purpose cleaning solution and wipe it with it.
14. Some silver polishes contain petroleum distillates, ammonia or other hazardous ingredients. Instead, dab on toothpaste with your fingers or rub it on with a cloth. Rinse with warm water and polish with a soft cloth. For larger trays and bowls, use a paste made of bicarbonate soda mixed with water on a wet sponge
15. Towels go hard because washing powder and fabric softeners leave mineral deposits in the fibres, which are then baked in as the towels dry. To ensure you have soft towels at all times, wash in laundry liquid rather than powder, and take out of the dryer or off the line before they’re bone dry
16. Take your grill and soak in hot water with a good sprinkle of washing powder, leave for four hours or overnight. Keep your grill clean in future by lining it with foil and always giving it a scrub straight after it has cooled down
17. Make a house cleaning kit that has all the essential supplies and materials needed to clean each room. Store in a brightly coloured plastic bucket or basket that can be carried from room to room.
18. To soften splatters inside the microwave, fill a cup with water and microwave on high for a few minutes. The steam will loosen any baked on food so you can easily wipe it clean.
19. Use a toothbrush to clean hard to reach areas around the soap holder, taps and drain.
20. Streaks on windows are unsightly and tricky to eliminate. When cleaning windows, wipe one side of the glass horizontally and the other side vertically. This way, when polishing out streaks, it will be easy to determine which side they are on.
