Is there any way to find out how many copies of an album were sold?
I know that in modern times the record companies keep pretty good records (no pun intended) of album sales, but we only hear about the big sellers and gold/platinum records. Does anyone know a way that one could find out more information about anything else?
Yes. Try this site and see if you can find what you’re looking for. The product must have a UPC code on it. It does a tally at the check out counter of music retailers.
