A natural sapphire costs how many times more than a lab created sapphire?

I recently bought a “created sapphire ring”. I was curious what is the approximate price of “created sapphire” per carat vs. “natural sapphire” per carat. I was told the created sapphire has identical chemical properties to natural sapphire.

It depends on the size or carat weight. price per carat is not a linear scale. two half carats stones might be 100 dollars per carat whereby a whole carat stone is 300 per carat, because it’s more rare than any two half carats.
with that in mind, created saphires aren’t worth a whole lot. I can’t give you a per carat price because every market for saphire has it’s own demand. They make watch crystals (the front glass) and sometimes the window of the scanners at the register in the grocery store out of created saphire because it’s very scratch resistant. The price you paid went into the following (decending order from most money to least) profit, labor, gold content (or side diamonds if any) and the sapphire.
Now, natural vs created is a no brainer. If you had a super high quality natural saphire that looked as good as your created, the price would be 10 fold or more. (unless your created looks cloudy) What’s nice is that you have something beautiful and durable without eating a hole in your wallet.
Buy a nice natural sapphire for an engagement ring, they’re worth the money, you get more for your buck when compared to the same size in diamond, and it’s much more unique than most women who only want diamonds…
