Mercury Dime

Mercury Dime
What is the current value of a silver mercury dime?

I have a number of silver mercury dimes that were minted in different years in the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s. All of them are quite worn, but evidently they all contain 90% silver.

The silver value is around $2.59 so dealers would pay around $2.00 or so. The 1921 and 1921-D have collector value even in low grades for they are scarce. The 1926-D as well as 1931-D also have some extra value . As for the 1940′s there are two rare over date one from the Philadelphia mint (no mint mark) and the Denver mint (D). They are the 1942 over 1 and the 1942-D over 1. There is a one under the 2 in the date. The coins are worth some big bucks depending on grade. The mint mark is on the side with the word ONE and is below the E.
