HELP, Someone spray painted my car!?
I have a 2004 Maroon PT Cruiser and someone spay painted black enamel paint all over the driver’s side. An auto body tech said to buy Lacquer Thinner and it would take the paint off…will it work without harming my clear coat and paint??
Yes I have insurance and yes I CAN claim it…However, I have a big deductible and don’t want to put in a claim if I can remove it safely. Thanks to all the intelligent people who answered my question honestly.
Well I know a guy that does minor body work and painting, and that is what he does. It might take a little shine off, but you don’t really have a choice anyway do you?
You would have to remove it and repaint it anyway, you might as well try this. Worse that can happen is you need to repaint that area, which can be a simple touch up.
