How do you tie the knots at the ends of a neckcord that make it adjustable?

You’ve seen those cord or leather necklaces that are adjustable. They have a knot at each end of the cord, connecting it to the rest of the cord so they slide along it. How does one tie that kind of knot? Can someone please tell me, or direct me to a site that has good instructions for this? Thanks much!
