…Making jewelry from recycled material?!?
For my biology class, we had to come up with a product or invention that is earth-friendly. My group and I decided to make jewelry from recycled material. I need some ideas! I’ve been looking it up on google but it’s all way too complicated. Everything requires me to melt plastic or cut metal and stuff and that’s too hard. Plus, I don’t have the equipment. So what are some things I could use to make jewelry from recycled material? It doesn’t have to be that stylish or anything, you just have to be able to wear it.
Thanks in advance!
Take beer bottle caps (or any type of metal bottle cap) and bend them in half with a pair of pliers. Thread them on string through the holes in the center. Or take a newspaper, though colored comics looks better. Cut them into a pinnate shape (very steep triangles). Start at the wide end and roll into a circle all the way to the end. Glue in place and string them together to make beads.
These are just simple ones we used to do in elementary school. Hope they help. Also if you go with the bottle caps, I’d suggest you paint them. Most schools aren’t thrilled when students show up with beer caps.
