What can I use to clean my 18k gold ring?
I have no jewelery cleaner. What else can I use that I could have around the house that will not hurt it. I don’t know if this makes a difference but there are also three different types of settings for nurmous dimonds and I don’t want anything to cause a problem with them.
If your ring has diamonds or gemstones in it, it cannot be put into a liquid jewellery cleaner dip for cleaning, because the solution will react with your stones. There are jewellery cleaning cloth that you can buy, to give your ring a touch up and see if that works for you. Otherwise, if it is an expensive piece, I would recommend a jeweller. But definately try the cloth, which is also good for costume and silver jewellery. And sometimes just a gentle soap and water cleaning will remove the dirt gathered on the bottom of the setting and make your piece sparkle.
