is this costume or real gold? its nearly 20 years old!!?
i inherited a gold bangle amongst other jewelry. its a bright bright gold and is 18 years old. it is bright cold with absolutely no fading or change of color ANYWHERE on it. its not heavy. infact its hollow inside, but the gold hasnt changed. i feel like its costume jewlery, but if so, why has the color not changed one bit. other say it may be real gold.
i asked a young boy working in a jewelry shop if its real gold. he simply held it in his hand, looked at it, then said to me that its metal. i asked him how he knew? he said, ”its not heavy. i can tell by the way it feels”.
if this isnt a gold bracelet, why hasnt it faded? the thing is nearly 20 years old.
I have jeans that are more then twenty years old. Why are you so impressed with the “age” of it? In the ’80′s…which is when your bracelet would have been made, big chunky gold jewelery was all the rage. Tons of it manufactured. Some good, most not. Why it’s not fading, I have no idea. Take it to an appraiser if you really want to know.
