Emerging Trends In Men’s Wedding Band Rings
When it comes to men’s wedding band rings, there are no hard and fast rules; but one trend that seems to be catching on is the use of industrial metals like tungsten, titanium and stainless steel. These strong and durable metals offer a refreshing change from the traditional gold, white gold and platinum wedding bands your father may have worn, and they can be a lot less expensive. They are also hypoallergenic, virtually maintenance-free; and for men who work with their hands, these harder metals will stay new-looking for much longer.
Another growing trend is the “unisex” wedding ring. Rather than choosing two different wedding rings for the bride and groom, some women are opting to get the same ring as their man – in a much smaller size, of course. Since men’s rings are a lot wider than women’s wedding bands, the woman will usually switch her engagement ring to her right hand. This new way of looking at men’s wedding rings is sure to be the inspiration for many new designer collections.
Designer and patterned wedding bands are also becoming quite the “rage” these days as well, with men feeling a bit more daring with their choice of wedding rings. In response to this, manufacturers are making rings that are domed, grooved, woven, brushed, ridged, engraved, Celtic, two-tone, and bezeled. And for something completely different, there are even men’s wedding rings made of black tungsten and black titanium, or inlaid with carbon fiber. Gone are the days of the discreet metal band with “zero personality”. If you’re looking for ideas, just start searching online and you will find plenty of styles to choose from.
Depending on the type of men’s wedding band ring you choose, a comfort-fit design is another option to consider. Comfort fit rings are internally round and curved around the edges, making them easier to put on and take off. This feature is especially helpful for men who are not used to wearing rings.
