A gift for my children when 18 from their great grandma – what to buy please?

My nan said she’d like me to buy a gift each for my children to give them on their 18th birthday from her (she’ll refund me of course!) As she is their great grandma she doesn’t think she’ll be around by then you see. She would like to spend up to £100 each. My daughter’s present is reasonably easy. I’m thinking of a classic necklace which won’t date in 18 years. My son is a bit trickier. Something that won’t wear out or date. So far I think plainish cufflinks or a classic watch / clock perhaps. Ideally I’d like to buy both items from the same shop – any suggestions please? I’m drawing a blank when trying to think of really classic english shops that might stock both – I’ve looked at Harrods but then I get stumped.

A nice watch would be a great idea. It will probably be hard to get both from the same store so I would suggest going to a jewellery store for the necklace and a watch store for the watch. I live in Canada so I cannot help you with a specific store, but I hope you find what you are looking for, it sounds like a brilliant idea to me.
