Brass Shriner

What is this? I have seen nothing like it on the internet.?
I found this in a box of my grandmothers old stuff when she passed. She was a Shriner, and God knows what else. The whole thing is the size of a PS2 memory card and came in a cover ( the black thing shown, with the word “AURUM” Latin for gold, on the top) The token itself is a thin metallic substance, possibly Brass, does not bend like gold. It has grooves engraved into it that look like handprints.

Any clues as to WHAT it is?
Definitely what Happy Chip chose, only much more recently made. Thanks, I’ll probably take it to a jeweler or something!
There seem to be similarities with the zodiac pendant described here:

Especially if you choose Zoom and look at pictures 4 and 5. They seem to be identical with your grandmother’s.
